We feel proud to be the stewards of this 4 acre piece of paradise. Living and working this land provides our family with a quality of lifestyle that is irreplaceable.
We grow 3 acres of organic produce year-round — a few market gardens of mixed vegetables including (seasonally) 7 varieties of lettuce, arugula, kale, swiss chard, oriental steaming greens, beans, beets, radishes, basil, cilantro, peppers, fennel, cherry tomatoes, chayote, collards, scallions, leeks, green beans and eggplant. There are orchard trees bearing avocados, limes, grapefruit, oranges, mangos, lychee, and papaya. And, not to be forgotten our pineapple field, papaya rows, banana groves and various flowers growing so beautifully and abundantly.
As conscious omnivores and with a sincere belief in local sustainability and an integrated farm, we raise chickens for eggs, meat and manure.
Our produce is sold directly to 50 families weekly. It is a really rewarding endeavor to be able to provide fresh organic food for the tables of so many people in the community. We all care about this island and are happy to support each other in growing and buying organically.
Should you like a tour of the farm, while you are guests here or elsewhere, we are happy to have you. Tours are about an hour long and given my son, Sky, who has grown up here and become a farmer in his own right. They cost $25 per person. Just email and we can arrange one!
